Ever wonder why TallPines Forest Products uses only 100% pine wood shavings and pellets?
The answer is incredibly simple. Pine shavings are still the best option for almost all animals.
Let's talk about the triple win for a moment. Lumber mills have to shave down planks of wood in order to sell premium grades of lumber. Shavings and sawdust are the byproduct of this process. Shavings and sawdust would become trash if not used as bedding for animals. This is the first win for landfills.
The second win is for the animals. Our lumber is 100% natural, virgin timber. There are no additives or chemicals used in the process of getting our shavings. Your animals only sleep in the highest quality pure pine shavings. Win number 2.
Win number 3 is for the environment. ALL of the mills we work with use their own logs from their own tree farms. Trees are constantly cut down and re-planted which means the impact on the overall evironment is minimal. There is never any land clearing tracts with our mills. Most of the mills are actually planting more trees than they cut down each year.
Sure, you can buy a lot of different pine shavings from a lot of different companies. But are you sure that they are trying to keep the environment intact for the next generation?
Great, pure, virgin wood shavings, pellets, and sawdust. Pine River Bedding.
Pine River Bedding sells 2 different types of bedding that are commonly used in horse stalls and barns. Our Pine River Bedding Gold Stallion pellets and our Pine River Bedding Double Quick Pick. Both of these products have been successful in different ways over the years.
One of the key things is to remember that horses can be sensitive to certain wood types. Cedar bedding is never recommended for this reason as certain horses can suffer skin issues when using cedar. This is one reason we only use 100% pine in our Double Quick Pick and Gold Stallion pellets. Additionally, our Double Quick Pick is also triple screened to remove airborne dust, another positive for healthy horses.
While there are other bedding types on the market, straw for example, we believe that Gold Stallion pellets and Double Quick Pick micro-flake are still the best answer for most horse owners. Both products are environmentally friendly, easy to store and use, safe for all horses, and readily available for customers year round.
